Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website and the services on it are run by IT Next Computers & CCTV Solutions ("ITnext", "we", "us"), 8/20,21 Prasannam Buildings, Karichal, Payippad P.O, Haripad, Alappuzha, Kerala 690514, India.

We decide how the personal data described below is used, so under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are its Data Fiduciary.

2. What we collect

Only what we need to answer you, quote you and do the work:

• Contact details: your name, phone number, email and town, when you call, message us or send the enquiry form.
• Property details: your address and what we note during a site visit, so we can quote and install.
• Electricity bill details: for solar enquiries only, to size the system.
• Records of what we installed: equipment, settings and service history, so we can maintain it later.
• Invoices and payments: what you bought and paid. We do not store card numbers.

We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

3. Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit or quotation.
• To carry out the work you order: installation, service, repair or maintenance.
• To register manufacturer warranties, and to apply for net metering or subsidy when you ask us to.
• To provide AMC and after-sales support, including reminding you about renewals.
• To keep the records Indian tax and accounting law requires.

We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or send you marketing you did not ask for.

4. Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to do the job, and only as much as is needed:

• Manufacturers and distributors, to register a warranty or replace a part.
• KSEB and government portals, for net metering and subsidy applications you ask us to handle.
• Banks and payment providers, to process your payments.
• The services that run this website: our web host, Cloudflare (which receives the enquiry form) and our email providers (which deliver it to us). Some of them may store data outside India.
• Authorities, when the law or a court order requires it.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become an order: up to 12 months, then deleted. The backup copy kept by our form service deletes itself after 180 days.
• Customer and installation records: for the life of the system and its warranty or AMC, so we can service it.
• Invoices and tax records: for as long as Indian tax law requires.

6. CCTV footage

• Footage from a system we install is yours. It records to your own recorder, on your premises.
• We do not monitor, copy or keep your recordings. If you ask us to help retrieve footage, we do it with your permission and keep no copy.
• Our technicians may see live camera views while installing or servicing. They are bound to keep what they see confidential.
• If you run CCTV, how you use it (signage, other people's privacy, audio) is your responsibility. We are happy to advise.

7. Devices left for repair

If you leave a computer or storage device with us, we look at your data only as far as the repair needs. We do not keep copies. Please back up anything important first: we take care, but cannot guarantee recovery from a drive that has already failed.

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The map on the Contact page is from Google, and it loads (and may set Google's own cookies) only when you press Show map. Links to WhatsApp, Google, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube take you to those services, whose own privacy policies then apply.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or update it;
• delete it, where no law requires us to keep it;
• stop using it where you gave consent (this does not undo anything done before);
• let someone you nominate act for you if you die or cannot act yourself.

Contact us using the details below and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We protect your data by limiting access to the staff who need it, using password-protected systems and encrypted connections, and keeping paper records secured at our office. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and report it as the law requires.

10. Contact us about your data

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
